You may ask why this book when there are so many areas of theology to explore. That is true, but there remains much confusion in the church which could easily be answered if people would have a correct reference point regarding the birth of the church.
The differences in doctrine and practice of the early church is why we wrote this book. Most people hold that the church began in Acts 2, Acts 9, Acts 10, Acts 13, Acts 28. If we are going to “rightly divided the Word of truth (2 Tim. 2:15 KJV), then it is important to establish a starting point. If you can do that, then you are better equipped to understand the earthly teachings of Jesus, of the Twelve, and of the Apostle Paul. In the end, it does make a difference. While there may be similarities, it is the distinctions that matter.
