People will often ask, “What is Bible Doctrines To Live By?” And the answer will sometimes shock the inquirer. They have pictured in their mind one certain aspect of the ministry and believe that is BDTLB.

In 1981, Pastor Lee Homoki founded BDTLB as an itinerant missionary Bible-teaching, and evangelistic ministry. In addition, a printing ministry had already begun printing Bible study books and booklets, as well as Gospel tracts. In the early days, the itinerant ministry was “Crossroads Crusades” and then “Round-Up for Christ” with Cowboy Lee was added. This ministry took Lee and Darlene many thousands of miles and touched the lives of hundreds of people. Most importantly it has been their privilege to see many adults and children trust the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior.

In 2005, Joel and Susan McGarvey joined the staff as Associate Director and Evangelist. The McGarveys have carried out an evangelistic / preaching ministry under the banner of “Bible-Time Ministries”. During these years the McGarveys have traveled thousands of miles preaching the Gospel in a variety of settings and have seen many, young and old alike, come to trust the Lord as their personal Savior.

In January 2008, Lee stepped down as Executive Director and Joel assumed that position. Lee did not retire, but, rather, turned his attention to his Cowboy Lee ministry and writing. In February of 2020, after many health struggles, Lee went home to His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 

BDTLB has continued to grow since its early days, always seeking new ways to reach lost souls to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and teach the Saints the Word of God from a mid-Acts dispensational point of view. With the COVID pandemic of 2020, BDTLB had time to build a presence on the web through the website, Facebook, and Youtube.
