“? If you were to die today, where would you be?
? If you could know for sure, would you want to know about it?
? Did you know the Bible, God’s Holy Word gives the answer?
I have BAD news and I have GOOD news.
First the BAD news.

The whole human race are sinners, that includes me, and it includes YOU.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:23

Sin means to come up short against God’s standard of righteousness. What if I stood on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean and attempted to jump over to Europe, what would I get? Wet! No matter how hard I tried, no matter how much effort I put into it, I would still only get wet.
The BAD news continues…

“For the wages of sin is death…”
Romans 6:23a

Death not only speaks of physical death but italso means that sinners are separated from God for all eternity in torment.

No matter how good we may think we are, none of us is ever good enough. In order to go to Heaven one must be as good as God is good.

“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one. …there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
Romans 3:10, 12b
But wait, there is GOOD NEWS.

Christ died for you.

“But God demonstrated His love toward us [YOU], in that, while we [YOU] were yet sinners, Christ died for us [YOU].”
Romans 5:8

At one time I was a soccer referee and as such I had to administer the rules of the game and in the process would have to give a player a Red card for a foul. The Red card meant disqualification and the player had to leave the game. But what if another player stepped up and offered to accept the penalty in place of the offending player; that new player would be the offending player’s substitute.

That is exactly what Jesus Christ did, He took the full penalty we all deserve for sin and died in our/your place. He became your “substitute.”

“Moreover , brethren, I declare unto you the Gospel [good news] which I preached unto you, which also you have received, and wherein you stand;
By which also ye are saved…
For I delivered unto you…how that Christ died for our [YOUR] sins according to the Scriptures;
And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day…”
1 Corinthians 15:1-4

Jesus Christ died for our/your sin, He was buried, and in three days rose again victorious over sin, death and the grave.

More Good news.

You can be saved through Faith in Christ and His finished work on your behalf.

“For by grace are YOU saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
NOT of works, lest any man should boast.”
Ephesians 2:8-9

Faith = trust, putting your complete trust in Christ and His work alone.

But I’m Religious, I go to Church, I give to the poor, I’m not as bad as some….

Friend, all of these may be positive, in and of themselves, and even good in the eyes of others. Some may even think that they will earn their passage to Heaven. But as “good” as one believes himself to be, he still falls far short of being as good as God is good and, therefore, is lost.

But you can know with 100% assurance right now that if you were to die today you would go to Heaven to be with the Lord Jesus Christ. How? By believing that Christ died for you, that He has fully paid the price of your sin, that He is your sin substitute, and trusting in His complete redeeming work on your behalf: His death, burial and resurrection as the full and complete payment of your sin.

Now that you’ve heard, what would keep you from making the most important decision of your life right now? Don’t wait, don’t put it off for another day; there may never be another moment in your life like the one you’re experiencing right now. You’ve read the TRUTH, now the decision is up to you.

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.”
Acts 16:31

I would invite you, I would urge you to trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ right now.

But you may ask, “What if you’re wrong? What if there really is no God, no Heaven, no Hell and everything just stops at death?

The answer is simple. If there is nothing beyond the grave then we’ve all lost nothing. BUT, if the Bible is TRUE, and there really is a Heaven and a Hell, then the failure to BELIEVE leads to the LOSS of EVERYTHING.

What Did I Do?

Friend, if YOU just HEARD God’s Word, BELIEVED what you heard and TRUSTED in the finished work of Jesus Christ then you…

Were saved…
Gained a RELATIONSHIP with YOUR Heavenly Father…
Gained the PROMISE of Heaven the very moment you pass from this earth. Again the Bible says:

“We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body and PRESENT with the Lord.”
2 Corinthians 5:8

PLUS YOU were sealed by the Holy Spirit in Christ, therefore, you can NEVER lose the salvation YOU just gained.

“In Whom YOU also trusted, after that YOU heard the Word of Truth, the Gospel of YOUR salvation: in Whom also after that YOU believed, YOU were SEALED with the Holy Spirit of promise,”

Friend, once YOU have placed your faith and trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ; His death, burial and resurrection, nothing can ever take that away.

“…(NOTHING) shall be able to separate us [YOU] from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:39

Now What?

May I suggest the following…

Start reading/studying the Bible beginning with the New Testament Book of Romans.
Pray (Philippians 4:6)
Seek out other believers.
Memorize God’s Word (Psalm 119:11)”
