“If you were to die today, will you go to Heaven?

1. God wants you to know you are a sinner.

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin: and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. (Romans 5:12)

For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)

If you think about your life, you know you have done things that are wrong. That is because you have been born into sin – a sinner.

2. God wants you to know there is a price for sin.

For the wages of sin is death… (Romans 6:23a)

“For every action there is a reaction.” Nothing is ever really free from that basic scientific truth. If you want something in the store, there is a price to be paid for that item.

It is the same with sin. There is a price to be paid for sin. However, it is not a nominal fee. It is death – eternal separation from the God Who created you and loves you.

3. God wants you to know He loves you.

But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)

God loved us so much, He sent His only Son to die on the cross and pay the penalty for our sin. Jesus died, was buried, and rose again from the grave to give you eternal life. He conquered sin, death, and the grave and that gives victory to you.

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
(1 Corinthians 15:57)

…And His love brings the gift of life.

…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23b)

Through sin you have eternal death, but through Jesus Christ you can have eternal life.

4. God wants you to know how to be saved.

You are saved by grace (God’s efforts), not by works (man’s efforts).
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

How do you receive the free gift of life? In faith, ask for it.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13)

Won’t you call on the Lord Jesus Christ today? He stands waiting and willing to give you the free gift of eternal life. Just tell Him you know you are a sinner in need of the Savior. Thank Him for sending His Son to die for your sins. Ask Him to come into your life and give you the free gift of eternal life in Jesus Christ. If you do, then you are saved, sealed and bound for Heaven.

…the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. (Ephesians 4:30)”
