βPAID IN FULL
We often write a check to purchase an item or to pay a bill. A check is nothing more than a promissory note, signifying to the seller that the amount paid is in the bank, and is payable on demand. The individual who writes the check is expected to have sufficient funds in the able to cover the payment.
The Bible says, βFor all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).β As a sinner there is a debt that must be paid. βFor the wages of sin is deathβ¦(Romans 6:23a).β That sin-debt cannot be paid for by anything you could possible do. βTherefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in His [Godβs] sightβ¦ (Romans 3:20a).β
The sin-debt had to be paid by the only One Who is able-the only begotten Son of God. βBut God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8).β The Lord Jesus Christ totally paid the full price of your sin.
Now because of what Christ has accomplished on the cross, we can have eternal life ββ¦but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6L23b).β It is an absolutely free gift. βFor by Grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8).β
Wonβt you believe on Him today? You can. βWhosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13).β
