MESSAGE:

“As we listen to people talk, we do not hear much good news. People usually tell us of the evil in the world. And it is true, there is much evil in the world. That is because men are sinners. Romans 3:23 tells us, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God,” and sin separates man from God.
But thank God, there is good news – Reconciliation. To reconcile means to make friendly again, to bring into harmony, to change from enmity to friendship. Reconciliation is to accept God’s peace, His offer of friendship; to enter into the peace which He has provided for the world through His Son.
All that stood between you and God, you and His peace, has been removed in Christ; now, get that, it has already been removed 2000 years ago at the Cross. In Ephesians 2:13-17 we read, “But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For He is our peace, Who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in His flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in Himself of twain one new man, so making peace; and that He might reconcile both unto God in one body by the Cross, having slain the enmity thereby: And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.”
God came in the person of Christ, for 2 Corinthians 5:19 says, “To wit that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself.” God has already reconciled the world to Himself. When Christ died, He paid the sin debt. “He bore your sin in His own body on the tree” (1 Peter 2:24). He took your place.
2 Corinthians 5:19 goes on to say, “Not imputing their trespasses unto them.” In other words, God does not hold your sin against you. God did not send Christ into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved (John 3:17).
So then, God loves you. He has sent His Son to die in your place. He has already made peace available to you. He has already reconciled the world to Himself. The world is running from God because of sin. But God says, “Wait! Stop! I have provided peace through My Son.” God has already provided forgiveness for your sins: He has already provided the peace. Will you receive it?
God will give you peace and righteousness in His Son, for in 2 Corinthians 5:21 we read, “For He hath made Him to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.” This is THE GOSPEL – THE GOOD NEWS. To refuse this is to refuse God’s way of salvation (reconciliation) through Jesus Christ our Lord. This salvation is free – it is a gift. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God – Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9) Will you reach out by faith and receive this gift/ This is ‘GOOD NEWS’ – the best man can hear!”
