…Friend, you do have a true need. Romans 3:23 states, “All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” Because we fall short of God’s glory, the result is an eternal separation from God.
God gave the greatest gift the world has ever known by sending his Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to pay for our sins. …the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
All those gifts we open under the tree each year have no eternal value. Most of the ones we received in childhood are broken or lost by now. There is one gift that is everlasting. The eternal life offered through the work of Jesus Christ.
Have you accepted God’s gift? Or have you told Him, No thanks; I can manage on my own?
The gift of eternal life is accepted by believing that Jesus paid the price for our sins on the cross, was buried, and rose again (I Corinthians 15:1-4). The only thing we have to do to be saved is accept that Jesus Christ paid it all (Romans 10:9 & 13).
