The Honor of Kings and the Mystery

Honor of Kings Cover

God wants us to know the truth of the Mystery. Comes in a pack of 25.

MESSAGE:

““It is the glory of God to conceal a thing, but the honor of kings is to search out a matter” (Proverbs 25:2).

God expects us to be like a king—searching out His truth. But what is His truth? That was a question asked of Christ when He was brought before Pilate in judgment.
“Pilate saith unto Him, What is truth? And when he had said this, He went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in Him no fault at all” (John 18:38).
In Christ’s later ministry, after His crucifixion, we hear a new message. This is a message that was kept secret (a mystery) from before the foundation of the world until revealed first to an apostle who was often in prison. He was a remarkable convert who was used of God to write about half of the New Testament. His name was Paul and he was saved some time after the crucifixion. In fact, He probably had never seen Christ while Christ was on earth prior to His ascension. Paul (Saul) was a very religious man. He was religious but lost.
Many folks throughout the history of the world have been religious but lost. There is but one way to be saved, and this way is outlined Paul. Remember, this was a man who was given God’s Word to speak and to write. The simplicity of his message is found in Acts 16:31: “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.”
Paul spoke often of the Mystery. He said that it had been kept hidden from all others until first revealed to him. What was that Mystery referred to in Romans 16:25?

“Now to Him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the Mystery, which was kept secret since the world began.”

Why do so few teachers or preachers make mention of this Mystery that Paul considered to be so essential? Again, in Ephesians 3:8-9 he made mention of this:
“Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; And to make allo men see what is the fellowship of the Mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, Who created all things by Jesus Christ.”

Colossians 1:26 says, “Even the Mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to His saints.”

Why do we not hear this Mystery spoken of today and recognized to be the words from Christ revealed through Paul’s writings? Actually, it is here in Paul’s writings that we have Christ’s later words, His later teachings after He returned to Heaven. His last words were not those few He spoke on the Cross. Following His resurrection, He was alive on the earth for forty days then He was taken up into Heaven (Acts 1:10-11), but even then He did not cease to give commands. We know this because of 1 Corinthians 14:37. Scripture tells us that the commands we have in Paul’s writings are commandments from the Lord.
We must search Scripture to discover those commands. A wise student will realize that in order to find them, he will, of necessity, have to search Paul’s writings. They are: 1 & 2 Thessalonians, 1 & 2 Corinthians, followed by Galatians, Romans, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 & 2 Timothy, Titus and Philemon. The commandments, which are essential for correct obedience to Christ’s teachings for this age, are to be found only in the thirteen letters (books) herein listed. Don’t fail to study each one of these if you wish to have the truth concerning the Mystery and Christ’s words for the Church which is His Body.”
