Pastor Matthew Ritchey

Matthew Ritchey was privileged to be raised in a Christian home, participating in a fundamental Bible believing church and attending a Christian school.   After graduating from high school in Hollidaysburg, PA, he went on to receive a B.S. in Business from Penn State University. It was only after marrying Jennifer McGarvey (now Ritchey, of course) and attending Grace Family Bible Church that he began to learn about the unique age of Grace, which restored his desire to serve the Lord.

He moved his family to Wisconsin to attend the Berean Bible Institute where he earned a degree in Advanced Biblical Studies. He also received practical ministry training while attending Grace Bible Church in OshKosh, WI. Matt later completed distance studies through St. Louis Theological Seminary to receive a Masters degree. During his last semester at the BBI, he was called to be the pastor at Grace Bible Church in Beloit, WI. He served alongside the members of this caring congregation for almost ten years.

He moved Jennifer and his five children to Michigan to be a part of the ministry of Bible Doctrines To Live By. He also currently serves as pastor with the saints at Croton Community Church as well as assistant editor and distance studies professor at Berean Bible Institute.   Initially, Matt was brought on board BDTLB to focus on providing materials for churches and families to use as they train their young people in the Lord.  He also helps with editing, printing, website updates, preaching, and any other task where he is needed. With many new resources available (and more to come), Matt became the President/Executive Director of BDTLB in January 2024.
