Darlene Homoki was born and raised in a wonderful Christian home in northern Minnesota. Upon high school graduation she attended Arizona Bible Institute in Phoenix, Arizona where she met Lee Homoki. They were married in 1960 and immediately organized and began a youth ministry called, “Truth for Youth” in Window Rock, Arizona and Gallup, New Mexico. They next worked as youth ministers at the “Phoenix Baptist Temple” in Phoenix and then on to the “Pomona Valley Baptist Church” in Pomona, California.
In 1962 Lee accepted the call to pastor the “Twin Peaks Community Church” in Twin Peaks, California. It was while in Twin Peaks, California that we were blessed with our two children, Stephen and Cari. In 1968 we were called to pastor at the “Gospel Lighthouse Church” (now Community Bible Church in Tipp City, Ohio) and then in 1977 to the “Berean Bible Church” of Evansville, Indiana. During the pastoral years, Darlene assisted with the secretarial work, taught Sunday School and worked with the Ladies Ministries.
In 1981 they formally began and incorporated the ministry of “Bible Doctrines to Live By” in Grand Rapids, Michigan. During the seminal years, Darlene worked for Home Insurance as Supervisor of the Policy and Claims Clerical Departments. When the company closed she took retirement and began traveling with Lee assisting in the itinerant evangelistic “Crossroads Crusades” ministry.
She is the assistant manager of the “Back to the Future Multi-media Project” and also does some of the BDTLB Bookkeeping and publishes a BDTLB monthly ministry report called “Dolly’s Diary.”
