Susan's Sojourns #2 PDF Print

Its been a long time since I've posted information on my sojourns so I will try to catch you up to speed. December found us celebrating a full year as residents of Michigan having made that long move from Pennsylvania. We are so thankful that that task is complete. Its amazing how much "stuff" we accumulated over the years. To tell you the truth, of all the "stuff we got rid of we can't think of anything we wish we would have kept. We purchased a Condominium and have appreciated that someone else is responsible for shoveling and mowing.

As I am writing Joel and are are busy preparing for our summer schedule. We are anticipating conducting 8 VBS"s in 6 different states. Every week of the summer is booked with VBS'S, Bible conferences, and cowboy camps. We would covet your prayers for good health, safety, and most importnatly that asthe gospel is presented to children as well as adults, many souls will be added to the Body of Christ.. We are excited that the youth group from the Coopersville Bible Church in Coopersville, Michigan will be joining us for a week long missions trip to minister along with us in a week of VBS. We will be working with the group throughout the month of April to prepare and train them in one-on-one evangelism, puppetry, and many other aspects of the VBS ministry. Pray for this group of young people that this week will be life changing and they may grow in their walk with Christ.Joel and I are very excited to work with theseyoung people and their leaders.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank so many of you who pray and give so that this ministry can go forth. God is faithful and is always guiding our paths as we step out in faith. I must constantly be reminded that He is in control and is able to sustain this ministry and us, when we but make ourselves available to His leading. In the book of Jeremiah God tells Israel that He knows the plans He has for them, to prosper them and not harm them. I believe that scripture is relevant to us. As long as God knows the plans, I must simply trust and obey.

This will be the first year our son Joel will not be traveling with us and frankly that leaves  a great void. Joel did all the puppetry as well as some of the one-on-one evangelism with the children in VBS. Joel will be traveling this summer with Cowboy Lee as they are embark on a new ministry of street evangelism along with the various cowboy camps. Pray for him that this will be a great learning experience and that he will grow spiritually as he see God working through this endeavour.

I'll keep you posted throughout the summer as time permits and would ask you to continue to pray as we serve.
