Dear Prayer Partners,

Greetings in the wonderful name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I made it back to West Virginia from Oklahoma about noon on Thursday. I stopped just east of Columbus, Ohio about 4:30AM and slept until 7:00AM and then continued on. The twenty hour drive to Oklahoma was well worth the time and effort. My brother Tim and I arrived at the hospital about 11:30 AM Monday morning and our brother David was just getting ready to be transferred from ICU back to the cancer ward. He had improved enough to be transferred back to a regular floor but was still in limbo. Monday evening he was feeling a little better but still not overly responsive. Tuesday when we arrived back at the hospital he was in terrible pain with chills and high temps. They did some blood cultures but didn't find anything. He slowly improved through the day after they had increased his pain medication. By Wednesday morning he was back down again. They want him to be up and out of bed before he can go home but he claims he just hurts too much. Please continue to keep him lifted up in prayer.

We departed Ridgeley, WV this morning about 10:30 bound for Scranton, PA and VBS #6. We have our mission team with us who had assisted us in Centerville, PA. Joel Jr., Chloe and Emma Keech and they are ready to work with the puppets, games, crafts, and where needed. We are at the Jackson Street Baptist Church which a large old church in an older section of town. The pastor was formerly a Youth Pastor in.berland, MD where Cowboy Lee had conducted several "Round-ups". We are looking forward to a week of ministry to the kids. We were here last year and had a good number of participants and a good number of kids come to Christ.

Except for two "spasms" by the motor home (one today) that requires a time-out (sitting along the highway or in a parking lot for and hour before it decides to run again all has been going well mechanically this summer and we praise the Lord for His goodness and provision.

We will leave here on Saturday and head to State College, PA (We Are Penn State) where we will speak at the Nittany Bible Church on Sunday. From there we will drive to Grand Rapids where we will begin another VBS on Monday along with Lee and Darlene. (Please pray for the Homokis as they have been struggling with head colds and other ailments for several weeks this summer.

Keep us in prayer and seek the Lord's leading in the VBS here in Scranton.

In Christ's Service,

Joel & Susan McGarvey
