Dear Faithful Ministry Partners,

We send you greetings in the wonderful name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We have just finished our 5th VBS of the summer and what a week it was. We're here in Ridgeley, WV with Pastor Brent and Saundra Biller and the folks of Grace Bible Fellowship. Our attendence was done from previous years but the blessing were just as great. Greatest among them were the 12 kids who accepted Christ as Savior. We have truly been blessed of the Lord this summer to see His saving hand at work.

We will preach here in the morning and then head out for Hyndman, PA and the two week Camp Meeting where we will be speaking each evening for 14 days. In addition, the first week Susan and I will lead a camping program for teenagers during the day. Pray tat we will have the right words to say to both the teens and the evening services. The first week I will be speaking through the Book of Romans.

Let me bring you all up to date on my brother David. First, he and Jo Ann send their deepest appreciation to you for your prayers. For six weeks the doctors have been searching for what is ailing him (actually the first three weeks were a waste as they looked for the wrong thing). This past Wednesday the doctors informed David that he has Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. He had a PET scan yesterday looking to see if the cancer was anyplace else but we have not heard back on that as yet. Monday he will have a bone marrow test and is currently scheduled to receive his first Chemo. The doctors are expectedly upbeat but we are leaving him in the hands of a much greater physician, the Great Physician. Please pray for Dave and Jo, as well as my mother who is with them. Please continue to pray for the Lord's will in Dave's life and for doctor's wisdom. Dave can not get out of bed without help and is extremely weak, still battles the high fevers and sweats and well as pain.

But through it all God remains good all the time and worthy of our praise and worship.

In Christ,

Joel and Susan
